On October 26th, 2024, the Tabernacle Historical Society hosted an event honoring Civil War Veterans who were from Tabernacle. Members of the New Jersey’s 8th Infantry Regiment, the Reenactors of Living History and American Legion Post 526, dressed in period costumes, gathered at the graves of each Tabernacle Civil War veteran and provided a biography of them.
