In 1991 residents of Tabernacle NJ came together to build a Robert Leathers playground. During one week in October, hundreds of people, working three shifts, constructed a huge playground for the children of the area. Many months were spent in preparation fueled by support from the School system, Athletics Association, Recreation Committee and Township officials. Sadly, just a little more than 10 years later, the playground was dismantled due to concerns over insurance coverages.
