The Tabernacle Athletic Association and the Tabernacle Recreation Committee sponsored a trip to Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia in 1987. Two bus loads of fans ( traveling in school buses) went to the park. Babe Ruth all stars held a practice on the field prior to the game, and a local student sang the national anthem.
