For many years we have been researching, collecting and sorting anything and everything we can about the history of our Township. Now we have begun to publish some of these histories in booklet form.

The first one outlines the history of the Tabernacle Schools, containing some 52 pages of school histories. The second one uses newspaper articles from the early 1800’s to the early 1900’s, and highlights (or lowlights) life in the 19th century. It has 72 pages of solid information.

And finally, our “Taverns, Inn and hotels” takes some 120 pages to document eight early places in this category.

Yes, we are selling them as a fund raiser for the Society. All proceeds benefit our ongoing efforts to uncover the town’s long rich history. The price for the first two is $7.50 each, while the last one is $10. If you buy all three for $25.00, we offer a one-half-price family membership for $12.50.
